Much news this week. 1) First, most importantly, we have a show coming up on Cinco de Mayo this Tuesday. This a good one to catch. Good venue, lots of people, much celebration, also we'll be adding Sam Rich on the bass for the first time. And the other bands are really good. Definitely check out their myspaces below.

Show info:
Tues. May 5th Cinco de Mayo @ Union Pool in Brooklyn, NY
MiniBoone on at 9:00 pm
w/ Buenos Dias and Gang Violets
484 Union Ave.

2) Our show at the Annex got reviewed. I really like this part: "It's a bit unkempt for grooving pop and it's certainly noisy. There are also the delightfully ridiculous lyrics, belted out with surprising conviction, and the bodily frenzy of the band's delivery." Super cool!
3) MiniBoone is preparing to branch out and play some shows out of NYC this summer! Right now we are booked to play in 51 3rd St. in Troy, NY on June 19th and Church Bar in Boston on July 1st. More to come! Let us know if you want us to come to you. All recommendations for venues are welcome. We would love to entertain you.
4) The debut screening of Beau Alessi and Joe Fontana's film "Propeller" at Freddy's Backroom on Thursday night last week was a grand success. 7 Ton Hand and Beau Alessi provided some fierce musical performances, then all in attendance enjoyed the film about a pharmaceutical company gone bad. Craig was in tears laughing at his own onscreen performance as a murderous stripping vampire. Though he did also laugh at Doug as pharmaceutical magnate Leonard San Francisco playing a dangerous game of Go against the intrepid insurance claims adjuster turned detective Frank Veronica, played by Beau.
Again, if you haven't seen the preview yet, you must watch it here and then buy a DVD for yourself because this movie is seriously messed up. Now I know how an actor feels when he finally sees himself onscreen covered in blood and realizes, it does look real, doesn't it?
Enjoy the following pics from the premiere. You can also see even more pics you would ever want to here.
