Craig here to report that Saturday's recording session went off without a hitch. We headed out to New Jersey early Saturday morning to record with Jesse and Dean, and busted through guitars, bass, keyboards and drums for 6 tracks in 12 hours. Ordered some Thai food around 7:00 pm and it took a damn hour to get there. During overdubs, those not recording rested up by battling each other in Def Jam Vendetta for Playstation, a wrestling game for rappers. Keith Murray versus some white guy named Tank and none of us could figure out how to pin, so the match went on for 16 minutes. Easily the longest and most excruciating video game wrestling match I've seen. But, lots of Stankin' Punches and combo moves were scored, and Keith Murray earned $1,600 for beating Tank. Are there actual celebrity wrestling matches? Besides Andy Kaufman? I'm talking like celebrity golf tournaments and celebrity basketball games. Is $1,600 all Keith Murray would get for wrestling?
Any case, next up on the agenda is vocals and more overdubs next Saturday. Hopefully the EP should be ready by the end of October. Until then, why don't you distract yourself with a new Miniboone show at Cameo Gallery on Wednesday?
=======================================
Weds. Sep. 16th - Brooklyn, NY @ Cameo Gallery
93 n 6th st. b/w Wythe and Berry. Off the Beford L stop.
Actually looks like "The Loving Cup Cafe" from the outside.
Free show! We go on after the weekly comedy show Big Terrific.
Show up around 10:30 for us, earlier for the yuk-yuks (which are also free)!

Lastly, ya'll might be interested to know that I'M GONNA GET MARRIED! I proposed to my girlfriend Marielle by the campfire while we were camping at the Wharton State Forest on Labor Day Weekend. Got down on my knee in the dirt. She didn't even see it coming! It was a pleasant accompaniment to the sleepless nights we had, since we forgot to bring an inflatable mattress or sleeping bags, and Jersey was for some reason cold as hell and our 4 blankets just didn't cut it. But we are super excited and looking into dates and places for the wedding!
As they say, "it's not like hanging around with your friends"... actually Billy from Desk already made that joke (joke?) to me. But I made it again.
