Big Changes Coming Soon!

Dudes & Dudettes: Big developments are looming on the MiniBoone horizon. (Note how hard it was for me to avoid saying "Big changes" right there. Love dem puns) Our new ep Big Changes is coming out January 26, 2010 on Drug Front Records and we are all super excited. On that date you'll be able to buy the record through our website, Drug Front's website, and Bandcamp. In addition, on that date or thereabouts, www.miniboone.com will link directly to Drug Front Records' website instead of going to that pretty orange page you see now. But have no fear. You will still be able to click through to the MiniBoone blog and enjoy the occasional dispatches of wisdom from MiniBoone, including more videos from James and new episodes of Craig's Recipe Corner.

If you want a sneak peek of the tunes from Big Changes, roll on over to our myspace page or, better yet, check out one of the recent writeups on the band. Yes that's right ladies, we have been named Band of the Week at Pop Tarts Suck Toasted, Band of the Month at Music Zeitgeist, and Band of the Year at Pitchfork. Haha, just kiddin' about that last one.

In addition, we'll be doing a release party for the EP on Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010 at Glasslands in Brooklyn, NY with the fantastic bands I'm Turning Into, Pet Ghost Project, and one more band. I'm sure we'll be reminding you of it constantly in the next few weeks. It'll certainly be an extravaganza, so come and be merry. Don't forget to invite Grandma Rosemary!

In other news... my girlfriend bought me a new Bread Machine for Christmas after reading my tear-inducing plea for a new one in "Craig's Recipe Corner Volume 1". Looks like the MiniBoone blog has now become the new Make a Wish Foundation. Not bad. And my mom bought me this awesome new pedalboard which powers all my pedals WITH JUST ONE 9V ADAPTOR. Can't tell you how awesome that is. Haters (jealous members of MiniBoone) gonna hate, but Craig's gonna smile when he's on stage without having to worry about a million cords tangling him up.

Oh yeah, and lately I've been super-listening to Yeasayer's as-yet-unreleased album, some Fever Ray, Bat for Lashes, Little Dragon, Antony and the Johnsons' newest record... but not that that makes me cool, all my listening tastes are ripped off my band members.

GO CHECK OUT THOSE MINIBOONE LINKS!! oh yeah here's one more: Quiet Color January 6, 2010 Just couldn't resist
