Beau Alessi Video Starring Doug Schrashun as "the Villain"

Yet ANOTHER new video from Beau Alessi! The man is prolific. This one stars Doug as the villain and our friend Richard Funkhouser as a honey-lovin' maniac who can't stop himself from running around. I helped Beau record a couple songs for his new EP which is really awesome. You can find a few songs on his myspace that I play some drums and xylophone on. Check it out: http://www.myspace.com/beaualessi. One song that's really good is "Hypercollider". Talk about a blazing sax solo.

While we're on the subject: I'm interested in why Doug is always cast as the villain. Is it something about his marble features? His cool and calm demeanor? Or is it just a natural propensity towards evil?? Doug has always been the type to be interested in the darker side of things...

Beau Alessi music video premiere

We're back from the second MiniTour of the summer! It was a blast. We'll write all about it for you later. First I just wanted to send a quick post because I know everyone was worried if we made it back alive or what. Once I have time, I'll sort through the videos we took and hopefully we'll have a good new performance for you to watch. In the meantime, please check out this very touching music video that our friend Beau (sole member of Monster Island and director/writer/actor of Propeller) made with his girlfriend Emily (see also Propeller) for a song by Beau (recorded by Doug!).

Here's a note from Beau:
"just wanted to drop this awesome bit of information on you: check out this music video that Emily and I made last weekend. It has lots of hand-drawn animation. I know you guys are into that. We hand drew like a million things and took 850 pictures with our camera to put it together and I'm so proud of myself even though Emily did most of the hard / talented work."

Are you excited that you are exclusively getting this music video premiere? That's just one of the perks of being subscriber to our services. I hope you enjoy.
