Not you?
Too bad. It's too late for you. Cause you're about to get buried under an avalanche of lots of shows: BAM.
Lots and lots of shows, starting as early as Monday, which, as you probably know, is Make Music New York day. What that means is that so many people in New York will be making music outside and inside all over all day, and we will be some of those people in some of those places.
Spike Hill, with our great bands and greater friends Quiet Loudly, Gunfight! and Pet Ghost Project - that's the first place we're playing on Monday. We'll be on at around 5 and if you happen to be getting on or off the train at Bedford you'll probably hear us cause we're right there. Right there!
A rooftop - that's the second place we're playing on Monday. That will be at like 7 or so at 846 Myrtle Ave. This will be our first two outdoor shows ever, I think. I'm pretty sure about that, but I'm even more sure that these shows are going to be so much fun and we (the band) are really looking forward to them.
But wait a damn second, dude. Later this week there's the 2nd annual Northside festival that we're also playing at. "The same Northside festival I've heard so much about that's being put on the L Magazine and features concerts by such MiniBoone beloved bands as Liars, Islands and Titus Andronicus." The very same.
We'll be playing shows curated by QRO, Quiet Color, Pop Tarts Suck Toasted (or should I see Pop Tarts Sucked Toasted, since the site has as of now sadly bitten the internet dust) and the L Magazine themselves. We'll be playing with awesome bands we've never played with like ARMS and DOM and bands we've played with like Dinosaur Feathers and Ava Luna. Tons of fun for everyone everywhere.
A final and important part about the festival involves the technical northerliness of the endeavor. "Northside? North of what?" Well, I've had numerous discussions about where the dividing line is between north Brooklyn and south Brooklyn, and I'm sticking with Broadway. Northside means north of Broadway. So there, now you can find the shows easily. Just go north of Broadway. See you there!
Actual details about all of the shows are over on the right.
So, to summarize, we're going to be playing 7 shows in 7 days next week. If we are successful, I'm told that this will constitute a Boddingtons Pub Ale Indie Rock and Roll MiniBoone Official Record, and we can have it printed in a book if we pay for it. Chances are we'll be pretty bushed after all the rocking, so if you plan on having a coherent conversation with us on June 28th, just don't. Come see us before that date, at one of the shows listed right OVER THERE. Or in the poster you can plainly see on this website.
We'll have more awesome news next week. I can't say too much, but I can say this:
LLC
Tour
Van
Ron Ron
Tron
It's officially Saturday now, so I'm gonna stop writing and enjoy my damn weekend. I recommend you do the same.
